Isn’t it strange- the things we remember.
Landslide- Fleetwood Mac.
This song gives me chills; because of memories attached. I remember, one time, when i was a little kid, my mom and i were together in the car and were were leaving the “stop and go” drug store. I don’t remember where we were going or where we had came from. But i remember her, turning on the ignition, and this song came on. She loved this song. I knew the song. I started singing, and she sang along with me. She waited to move the car. After the first chorus, she started the car and we left the parking lot, continuing to sing. I looked at her, she looked at me at every beautiful note that was better than the last. It was dusk and the sun was hitting the skin, and i kept staring at my hands as we sung and they glowed a pretty pink/ orange color. It was just a- happy moment. I felt incredibly close. So far from alone. The dimples on my mom’s cheeks as she smiled and sang with me wreaked of blitheness. Those few minutes- i would have never thought that I would never forget.
